Celebrating the harvest

This wellbeing day retreat is a curated experience designed to restore your equilibrium. After a fruitful summer, this day will look at the bounty in our lives. Falling on 1st August, the day of Lammas or otherwise known as Lughnasadh, we give thanks and honour the sacred balance between effort and reward.

Located in the breathtaking area of South Queensferry, Scotland, this day is for those seeking the space to Rejuvenate, Appreciate and Meditate. I invite you to step away from every day life to be able to harvest all the beautiful things in your life. Sometimes the only way to do this is to take a break and look after ourselves once in a while.

A Day of Connection

Begin with a gentle grounding yoga session to awaken the body - including pranayama, meditation and intention setting for the day ahead.

Morning Flow and Centring

10:30 — 12:30

A simple plant-based lunch served in the garden, if weather allows.  A time for mindful eating and connecting with fellow participants.

Communal Nourishment

12:30 — 13:15

Walking your path

13:15 — 14:00

Experience Pemma’s unique meditative walk, rooted in Tibetan lineage. It aims to center your soul through the rhythm of everyday motion.

Through sacred Sanskrit mantras, we harmonize breath and spirit, uniting our voices to create a resonant, shared tapestry of peace and reflection.

Finding our voices

14:00 — 14:45

Conclude your journey with Yoga Nidra, embedding a deep sense of peace into your soul. Indulge in an optional Indian head massage to release lingering stress. You will depart feeling fully restored, carrying a spirit of gratitude and clarity into your daily life.

Cultivation and Conclusion

14:50 — 15:30

The Priory Church Garden Room

Nestled within the historic grounds of South Queensferry's Priory Church, the Garden Room offers a serene and grounded sanctuary. Surrounded by ancient stone and lush greenery, the space provides a natural stillness that perfectly complements our journey of reflection and restoration.

Pemma Ellis-Huddleston

Pemma is a 200-hour trained yoga and meditation teacher and massage therapist. She has been practising yoga for around a decade, moving through chronic illness and pain, mental health challenges and the realities of living as a neurodivergent person. Pemma believes yoga is not one-size-fits-all and can be truly inclusive when we let go of the idea that it is only for the lean and able. Yoga, meditation, mindfulness and a holistic outlook have empowered her to take responsibility for her own wellbeing, and she is passionate about supporting others to do the same.
